Before coming to the Springfield Rescue Mission, Will felt stuck.

Life had become “boring” and “monotonous,” he shared. He was working every day but struggling to find satisfaction or contentment. Eventually, Will realized that something needed to change.

“I made a fool of myself and burned bridges,” he said. “Changes had to happen.”

Will was hesitant when he first arrived at the Mission. He wasn’t sure what to expect—but within only a few days, he began feeling comfortable and building friendships.

Now, after just under three months, Will believes God led him here.

“I’m thankful to be here,” he shared. “I definitely feel that the Holy Spirit has led me here to the Mission.”

Through relationships with our staff and residents, Will is beginning to see his life differently. He is learning to take his relationship with God seriously and put his faith into action—not simply hear God’s Word, but live it.

Will does not yet know exactly what his future holds. But today, he is willing to trust God instead of trying to figure everything out on his own.

“My desire is to do the work that God has set for me and to walk that path with Him,” Will said. “I’m willing to do whatever God has for me.”
