On Wednesday, November 20, we are partnering with The Q99.7FM and Big Y World Class Markets on Cooley Street in Springfield, North Main Street in East Longmeadow and Memorial Avenue in West Springfield to help FEED THE NEED!

The Q99.7FM and Big Y World Class Markets are teaming up to support the Springfield Rescue Mission with a special food drive, FEED THE NEED, to help those in need this season!

Through the Feed the Need, the community will come together to support the Springfield Rescue Mission’s vital programs, which provide food, shelter, and rehabilitation services to thousands of individuals in need each year.

How You Can Help:

• The Q99.7FM promotional team, alongside volunteers from the Springfield Rescue Mission and Big Y, will be at three Big Y locations in the Greater Springfield area, collecting food donations for those in need.
• Look for the donation stations at Big Y on Cooley Street, Big Y on North Main Street, and Big Y on Memorial Avenue in West Springfield. At these locations, shoppers can pick up a “food items needs list” to guide their donation.
• Items most needed include canned goods, non-perishable foods, and other basic staples to help support the Mission’s rehabilitation, emergency, and community food programs.

Why It Matters: Each year, the Springfield Rescue Mission provides thousands of meals to those facing hunger, as well as critical services like housing and recovery programs. By contributing to Feed the Need, you’re directly helping to feed local families and individuals struggling with food insecurity.
