Volunteer with the Rescue Mission's mobile feeding program, Operation SONshine, as the van travels the inner city distributing meals and other items as needed. Operation SONshine operates weekly.  There is a four person limit in the Operation SONshine van.

Volunteer from 12noon-3pm making 200+ bag lunches and distributing them to homeless on the streets of Springfield. We visit numerous locations in City serving lunch to the homeless and poor.  Once all meals have been distributed,  the van returns to the Mission at approximately 3:00 p.m. Volunteers then help with returning items to the kitchen and cleaning the van.
