Volunteer for the Springfield Rescue Mission

Do you have a heart for helping others? Come lend a hand in providing services to men, women and children in need in Springfield and the surrounding communities.

First Steps

To get started, we will ask you to register as a new volunteer, complete a volunteer profile and attend a volunteer training. After that, you will choose the activity that best suits your unique talents and abilities. You can also just try out positions in different departments to get a feel for the right fit.

More Ways to Get Involved

Sometimes it isn’t possible to volunteer time and serve on the premises of the Rescue Mission. However, there are several things that individuals, families, organizations and church groups can do off-premise that will still support the programs and services we offer.

Learning Center

If you are an educational professional looking for another way to help, you may be just the person we are looking for to lend a hand in our Learning Center. We have tutoring, career coaching and curriculum expansion opportunities. Please ask for details by emailing Sabra Ramsdell at sramsdell@springfieldrescuemission.org.
