LBCI is offering guidance and support for those seeking help to answer the exam questions. In ACBC’s second phase of the certification process, 46 counselor-relevant questions are asked to help a candidate organize their thoughts about various theological and counseling matters. Each question demands a one to one-half page response and can be challenging to complete without a general understanding of the terms and/or subject. SRM’s four ACBC Certified counselors will take turns talking through the core elements of said questions as well as be available to answer technical questions that may arise.
Format:

  • 20 minutes per question
  • 2-hour evening sessions at the Springfield Rescue Mission (6-8pm)
  • Over 7 non-sequential days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)

The workshop is an in-person event and will be (audio) recorded.  If you register, it is encouraged that you attend most if not all the sessions.  If you cannot attend all of the sessions, please contact:  Chaplain James at (413) 732-0808 Ext. 151.

Prerequisites:

Complete an ACBC approved 30-hour course in Biblical Counseling Basics. Many of the questions are dealt with in this course and will serve as the basis for us to help you.

Bring your Basics in Biblical Counseling conference binder, something to write with and your Bible.  A Study Guide will be provided.
