Our Impact

The goal of the Springfield Rescue Mission, since 1892, is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the hungry, homeless, addicted, and poor by introducing them to Christ and helping them apply the Word of God to every area of their lives. The Springfield Rescue Mission provides food, shelter, clothing and Christian rehabilitation, free of charge to over 6,700 people annually through our Men’s Emergency Shelter, Men’s Rehabilitation Program and Emergency Service Programs for men, women and children.

In 2017, Springfield Rescue Mission Provided:

93,917 Meals, 19,772 Shelter Beds, and 64,269 Items of Clothing

  • Operation SONshine (17,550 meals)

  • Holidays Meals (Easter-584, Thanksgiving-515, Christmas-698)
  • Food Boxes (730 boxes)

Facilities

  • Rehabilitation Program and Business Offices: 10 Mill Street, Springfield (60 beds)
  • Emergency Shelter: 148 Taylor Street, Springfield, first floor (43 beds)
  • Transitional Living Facility: 148 Taylor Street, Springfield, second floor (17 beds)

28,126 volunteer hours have been donated, saving SRM $678,962.
